The grand opening of the pavilion will take place on Saturday the 17th June at 11am, immediately before the start of the Pirbright Summer Fair. The theme for the fair this year is "around the world".

There will be youth matches on from 9.30am, so come along early to support our teams.

We'll all make our way over to the pavilion at 1045, grab a drink and wait for the spectacle to unfold. The plans for the opening are still being developed, but expect a classic ribbon cutting, some short speeches and a chance to try out the new bar.

We would love to see any past players from PCC at the opening, so if you are in contact with any of them please invite them along.

Following the opening the club will be running a number of cricket related stands on the pitches as part of the fair, and running a bar.

The current plan is for:

• Classic welly wanging
• Pirbright's fastest bowler
• Beat the batter
